This project involved complete renovation and rear addition of a c.1900 wood-frame home at Chautauqua Institution. Interior work included redesign of the bedroom layout and all new kitchen, bathrooms, finishes, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. Exterior work included new windows, doors, synthetic slate roof and cement clapboard siding.
The existing porch was retained at the time of initial renovation. Ten years later, it was replaced with a new two-story porch within the same footprint. The new porch allows optimized views of the busy street near the amphitheater.
