Originally constructed for Sterling Dairy, these buildings were converted into a multitenant office complex before being purchased by UPMC Hamot, then Hamot Medical Center. The existing Sterling Square buildings were difficult to navigate, uninviting and dated.
During this renovation project, design elements and signage were used to create three distinctive building entrances that stand out and improve accessibility and wayfinding. A landscaped courtyard and covered walkway now visually link the two buildings. Updates to the interior include a more spacious Imaging Center waiting area and conversion of storage space into the new Women’s Health Center.
