Century Square is an urban mixed-use development including a coffee shop and office space, and coordination with an adjacent restaurant. The project combined two independent but adjacent historic buildings into one property.
The Italianate commercial buildings were constructed in 1857 and 1859 in downtown Erie. A common elevator and stair were installed to meet current code and navigate the different floor elevations between the buildings. Exterior work consisted of new roofs, masonry restoration, new storefronts, historic window restoration, and wood repair and painting. Interior work included tenant fit out and new HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. The buildings are now host to a Starbucks coffee shop, an Irish pub, law offices, and private event space.
